Job Overview
Fuel the flow of operations at North Coast Seal, Inc. as the strategic force behind purchasing, planning, and inventory control. You’ll command our MRP/ERP systems to keep materials moving, vendors aligned, and production running smoothly. From sharp negotiations to rock‑solid inventory accuracy, you’ll drive the decisions that keep our supply chain efficient, reliable, and always a step ahead. Core Responsibilities:
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Develop and maintain the MRP Systems, Purchasing, and Production Scheduling within our ERP system (Global Shop Solutions).
- Execute purchasing for all company needs, including raw materials, equipment, tools, and stock parts.
- Maintain accurate and current vendor price files and negotiate contracts within budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor and follow up on vendor shipments, backorders, and scheduled releases to ensure timely delivery.
- Solicit RFQ’s from vendors to supply pricing to Sales for Customer RFQ’s.
Inventory Management
- Implement and oversee inventory control procedures to maintain inventory systems, ISO compliance, and inventory/valuation accuracy.
- Regularly update MRP Systems (Reorder/Min-Max/Safety-Levels) in ERP to maintain stock levels for customer requirements, stocking programs, and OTD.
- Plan, organize, and lead the Physical Inventory Process and cycle counts for high-demand parts.
ERP & Reporting
- Participate in weekly staff meetings: Reporting on purchased product & vendor issues, ERP/Data entry errors, MRB/NCMR/RMA issues and other important issues that can affect company performance.
- Assist with document scanning and record maintenance in ERP (DSC System) for procurement and inventory transactions.
Quality & Compliance
- Audit warehouse receiving processes for accuracy, quality, and completeness of inspections.
- Generate and process RMA’s, NCMR’s and Vendor Corrective Action requests in ERP system.
- Participate in MRB meetings to root cause & disposition non-conforming materials.
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales group to validate new part numbers and vendor alignment.
- Crosstrain with warehouse staff to support receiving, verification, and processing of goods.
· Communicate effectively with other internal teams to maintain strong relationships and ensure operational success (Quote to Cash).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- Certifications (Preferred):
- APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
- Experience:
- 3+ years in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities (Domestic & International).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Global Shop Solutions experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Products (Word/Excel/Outlook/Others)
