Position Description HX5 LLC, in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center, currently has an opening available for a part-time, temporary Engine Icing Research SME. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards. Improve the experimental methods for measuring ice adhesion and shedding in aviation applications to improve the current set of NASA predictive tools with a better approach for predicting and analyzing the ice shedding event on vertical lift aircraft.
