  • Critical Hiring Criteria (credentials, experiences, qualifications, other)  1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field with an emphasizes in quality preferred. 2. A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of quality or engineering in the aerospace industry with an emphasis on compliance to domestic and international civil aviation regulations. 3. A minimum of three years’ shop environment exposure with a general knowledge of processes used in manufacturing. 4. Previous experience and participation in continuous improvement, corrective action and preventative action programs. 5. Previous participation in performing internal and external vendor audits. 6. ASQ certification (CQA and/or CQE) preferred.

Job Description

The Quality Engineer (QE) is focused on ensuring that procedures and processes meet the rigorous quality standards of the company, customer and regulatory entities throughout the repair/overhaul lifecycle. Specifically, the QE will work towards continuous improvement of process with an emphasis on evaluating and approving work instructions, technical drawings and maintenance releases. The position will utilize problem-solving methods, such as root cause corrective action (RCCA) to identify underlying causes of issues and participate in the development of effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
The Quality Engineer will work alongside a team of experienced department team members that will allow continuous interaction for acquiring the techniques, knowledge, and skills required of the job.
